About Dr. Spetter

Dante Spetter, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist in Arlington, MA.

In addition to seeing clients, she has taught adult students about all aspects of human development since 1987, and previously advised Master’s candidates for over 25 years at Harvard University. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine and formerly was a Lecturer at Harvard.

Dr. Spetter earned her A.B. in Psychology from Wellesley College in 1986 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami, specializing in Pediatric Health Psychology, in 1991. After interning at the Franciscan Children’s Hospital, she worked at Tufts Medical Center for 10 years consulting with pediatricians and other health professionals and training psychology interns and pediatric and psychiatric residents. She was a founding member, and continues to serve as a consultant to the Comprehensive Family Evaluation Center at Tufts, the only hospital based service providing family forensic psychology services in the Greater Boston area.

Clients, students, and advisees find her warm, engaging, supportive, and genuinely interested in helping them to map out a plan to reach their goals, and then aiding them in breaking the plan into manageable pieces with an action plan that really works.
